In their latest episode, that love affair is between Larry Shank and his beautiful 1953 Willys CJ-3B and its accompanying 1947 Ken-Skill Kustom Kamper . "The adventure began when we left the driveway," says Shank. "And that's what was neat about the Jeep and the teardrop; you became part of the country from day one." However, Katie Sullivan is thrilled to share that the idea of a full-length documentary on the Jeep Wagoneer is starting to come to fruition.There's much more distance to travel before funding for the project is secured and a participating network is identified, but she's on her way with the help of Jillian T. Ingeniously, Filipino's began using their metal crafting skills to transform these vehicles into multi-passenger modes of public transportation. Though inspired by the all-American Jeep , the Jeepney is decidely Filipino . Built by hand by companies like Armak, Sarao, Hebron, and LGS Motors the modern Jeepney is usually powered by a 4-cylinder Isuzu or Mitsubishi diesel engine. Their steel shells are often polished to a chrome-like sheen or emblazoned with vibrant paint schemes.
